today is christmas day! merry christmas everyone and God bless you. christmas is more than a public holiday when you know the true meaning of christmas. was lying in bed thinking about christmas and a lot of other things. but anyway about christmas- it never fails to amaze me how the Maker of heaven and earth, the One who created you and me, the God who rules over all things, sent His one and only Son to earth as a humble baby born in a manger. i mean He didnt have to be born in a smelly stable, He could have been born in some plush inn of that time, with rich people as His parents. but no it wasnt so. it's just wow. thank you God.
yesterday was pipes performance. rawr messed up a little of little drummer boy. i need to improve on my piping. ended up ending really early. daddy and mummy came to pick me up, and we went down to bugis because mummy had to get a few more christmas presents. came home bathed. then matt called me to ask me whether i could go over to the esplanade to join the rest of the guys. didnt feel like going actually but decided to go say hi to them. and man, am i glad that i went. it was awesome. matt was happily playing kenny's guitar [and kenny wasnt even there. wonder how it ended up with matt] and all of us started singing loudly. all your funny christmas songs like rudolph the red nose reindeer, santa claus is coming to town, jingle bells, frosty the snowman [poor frosty!]. we attempted i saw mummy kissing santa claus. but all of us only knew the tune and words to one line, yes youve got it right "i saw mummy kissing santa claus". so we kept singing it over and over again hahah. same for all i want for christmas is my two front teeth- we only knew the chorus. it was really fun. later we played truth and dare and we dared jonathan to jump in front of passerbys and shout "i saw mummy kissing santa claus! did your mummy kiss santa claus too?" some laughed and said "yes". but there was one or two who gave that look if you get what i mean. the other dares were cool too. it was really fun and we stayed out until a little past midnight. mummy fetched me home and gave the others a lift. the esplanade is quite a nice place at night.
today. daddy and mummy gave me christmas money. kor got me belts. jie got me this cute shirt. daddy and mummy decided to go for zion's christmas service. if you ever get to see this- thanks serene lynette and jingles for the christmas cards/ notes. thanks abi for the cookie. (: stayed for the christmas lunch thing. i went to bc after that. thanks for the christmas cards and presents everyone. (: if you didnt get anything from me, dont worry haha it's not that i like you less, it's just that im not the sort to give christmas cards/ presents. jammed for a while then went to join the rest of my family for family gathering. was great seeing everyone again, people who are studying/ working overseas are back and yeah it's cool. i love my cousins- the cousin gang (: did the usual stuff- bridge. daidee. blackjack. truth or dare. talk about a mix of rubbish and serious stuff. we were thinking of going down to orchard, but all of us dont like crowds and squeezing with people, so perhaps we'll be giving the christmas extravaganza a miss.
this is such a rubbish post. but i need a break from those never-ending thoughts.
haha i just saw the post brandon posted on behalf of the camp comm and the very amusing "is peiling highly crushable meeting" post. no wonder on friday i received smses from so many youths and i was wondering what was going on and whether it was one of those "give-peiling-a-hug day" "make-peiling-smile day" or "show-your-love-for-peiling day" lol. but thanks for your smses/ emails anyhow. (:
